I have a suggestion which i think would dramatically improve the game:
-when cards are traded in the player receives either artillery (cannons), infantry or cavalry depending on their card combination.
- If they have one of each they would receive a mixture
-when attacking the following attack bonuses would apply: artillery twice as likely to beat cavalry, cavalry twice as likely to beat infantry, infantry twice as likely to beat artillery (a paper,scissors, stone arrangement)
This would add a much needed layer of complexity to the game which otherwise is a big boring and simple. You would need to slightly increase the time allocated for distibution phases as most of the strategy would come in where to allocate new pieces to maximise their potential.
