Risk is a good game but becomes boring when players just accumulate troops.
Introduce an attrition rule (which can be optional like fog of war or blizzards) that once a certain number of troops are on a country (25) and haven't moved in 3 turns they reduce by 5 or 20%.
This could reflect, desertion, lack of supplies, etc.
Just a suggestion to stop boredom creating in when people sit on 100+ troops a d do nothing.
