I think it could be cool to, rarely, have an opportunity to extend your turn, at your convenience, and/or, shorten another player's turn, the next time they go. I'm not sure how this would be implemented, perhaps, as a selectable game option which automatically gives it to every player, or as a card trade option, or either, depending on the host's choice.
