Risk has so many options when making a game, why can’t there be one more for ppl who want to chat? If players become abusive, etc, then it would result it players looking for games without a chat.

I think that this will make the game very toxic, I dont want to listen to people offending me.

1.I think it’s great idea but there may be some toxic so you can make censure in chat 2. And I think chat should be divided on public chat when you write to everyone and private when you talk to only to one person

Eric Asmodius, I think that it would be easy to deal with the issues you raise. First, chats can be set to off, so you would have to turn them on to use them. You could also mute your chat, so it anyone is being inappropriate, you just mute them. Lastly, it could be limited to text, so porn or other video content could be blocked. 


I used to play a Facebook game called Attack. I played it A LOT! It had a chat, and I met many cool people, and actually made friends. It was very useful. Some people played with their chat function turned off, and that was fine. The amount of negative interactions vs positive interactions was something live 9 to 1, in favour of positive interactions. 

Full on chat is something this game could really use. It'll need some filters on it, sure, but to finally be able to talk to other players is really important for a strategy board game. Why is this not in the game yet? It's been 6 months.
Or just a way to message friends not in game would be great honestly
The best part of risk is the social aspect making and breaking alliances,fun banter,etc.This feature would really set this game ahead of so many.
No chat means less work trying to convince people to attack others!!! But the fundamental of the game! I always tell my mom not to attack me 
Please add chat it would make communicating with allies much easier

I hardly support this. This is the main missing of the game. At least, we should have “I wont attack you unless you attack me” “The yellow guy is very strong, attack him.” “You can take this (tapped territory) territory, no problem.”

 no chat that will make it worse, if you know how to play then learn but dont be an ass

Great idea, it would be perfect for talking to allies and strategising etc, however there would need to be a chat filter to stop cussing
The best approach is to make chats optional. So if you want to start or join a game with no chats, you can. But why stop those who would like to have a game where chats are possible from enjoying the experience? I see it as a win-win.
Great idea to have a chat function , please action when you can 
