Hacking the game, in any way, is (considered) cheating.
Using multiple accounts in the same game (to gain an advantage over other players) is (considered) cheating.
Playing with someone you know in Global Domination is cheating.
Abusing a bug or glitch or knowingly encouraging abuse of these is cheating.
Creating a negative experience for other players, by actions such as spamming excessively, refusing to end games, intentionally disrupting gameplay, delaying gameplay (stalling), or abusing our reconnection system intentionally, is cheating.
Don't play with anyone you know or have external communication with in Global Domination. Use Play Friends or risk a ban!
If you wish to play with people you know please use the Play with Friends mode. If you still wish to play with friends against real opponents, this must still be done via Play Friends. Please use the RISK Community's #looking_for_game feature at https://discord.gg/risk
What happens when a player is reported for any of the above?
The following action will be taken if they are found to have broken these rules;
If the player was (found) hacking, they will be banned from RISK entirely.
Although we try to warn new players who might not be aware of the rules, such a warning is not guaranteed. You might be banned by automatic or semiautomatic systems before receiving such warning.
Should a player be banned - Their leaderboard position and rank points are completely removed. All games they have participated in for the current season, will have game results re-ordered so that they are placed last. All of their opponents will see this minor bonus.

Q: How do I report a player?
A: Report in-app by clicking on their avatar and clicking on the red triangle icon under their name in the Alliance Window. If you come across any suspected hacking - Create a support ticket at http://smgstudio.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new with the names of the players.
Q: Why can't I team up with my friends in Global Domination?
A: We take a "act as you would like to be acted towards" approach here. It is unfair to team up against unsuspecting player who believe they are entering a fair “free for all” game. The ranking system is designed for “free for all” gameplay, not teams.
A: Yes, we are currently rolling out a full suite of anti cheating features. Some have already been implemented and it’s logging play now.
Q: What is the difference between forming alliances with stranger and forming one with friends?
A: There is a difference between: the informal, temporary alliances forged and broken throughout the game (which, with all its betrayal, is an integral part of RISK) and starting a game with a friend or relative as well as strangers in there. This is intentional ganking and will not be tolerated. If you just want to play for the fun of it with your friends, start a "Play with Friends" game against AI opponents.
I love the idea of trying to get rid of cheaters! I am constantly reporting suspicious players, which if you’re a veteran, long time player you kind of know what to look for as it’s hard to always find cheaters on this game. I mean you can clearly see the cheaters when they do crazy apparent moves, but this is a war game so there’s always gonna be animosity, teaming even when you don’t play with alliance mode enabled there’s still ways where it would look like players are teaming. Example: if a player upset more then one, and they both retaliate against that player at same time. Then also if 2 players are going back and forth and weakening each other, you could then have others coming in to take advantage of weaker players , which could look like teaming. Then let’s look at stalling. You can report some one for stalling, and of course when fog of war is not enabled you could clearly see the opponents to know who has what where, so you know your not building up against way weaker players that you could already beat, but when fog of war is enabled how would a player know if he’s got most of the territories and the one that doesn’t have many be hiding a lot more troops.
Well I’m here to vent, and express my concern about unfair play rules!
I have recently been banned for allegedly breaking unfair play. I honestly can say that I play as fair as any other player! The only unfair rule I could have broken was the stalling as I mentioned above. When you can’t see what the enemy has and you’re building an army against the enemies one troop frontline.
I am furiously upset that I have been banned with no details how I broke any unfair play rules.
Seriously I think the automated banning system is flawed and some are being banned for no reason.
I’ve spent lots of time which to me is worth a lot and then there’s in app purchases I’ve spent hundreds on in game content.
I have sent tickets to SMG requesting for comment on my actions, proof (evidence) of me playing unfair. I have yet to receive a response from the support team.
I will be heard, I won’t stay idle and to have my time and money spent just to be taken away by a support system that is flawed. I will take action to get all the money I spent on in game content refunded.
Beware out there this could happen to you! Don’t let a company rob you. Think twice before you spend money on in game content.

I don't put money in online gaming anymore. But yeah cheating is bad. There is not even a notification when players play on the same IP.

Nowadays they have a system that can detect if have the same up address. So that helps limit cheaters cuz it won’t let the game start. It will say something like there is collusion detected and kicks everyone from that lobby before it starts! I can remember when they didn’t have that. But I think there’s still people that now how to get around that detection system. Especially with pc players and there ability to use vpn so it masks the I.P Address.
I’m still waiting on SMG to respond to my ticket about proving I played unfairly. I think if your a smart experience player and you do well and have the right luck, you could get reported because people think your cheating and if enough players report it seems the automated system bans you idk because I’m still waiting and trying to figure out why I got banned.
