Cheaters

I have reported all the cheaters that I know for sure in the game because some of them are very obvious. However, this issue has yet to be resolved. I would like to be able to get back into the game after being wiped so that I can see the end of the game and figure out who's cheating for real. This game is not fun at all if people cheat and I am considering to find something else more entertaining and healthy to play.

I'd say every couple games I play I have two people that are clearly allies at the start or one player with 2 profiles. One player is clearly going to be the winner as he see the least action, as the other account/player goes balls out trying to crush players in the way of whichever account is suppose to win. It's annoying and bogus. Get tired of playing so i can get gangraped by 2 accounts or two players from the start, so just one can with. I could understand when I had Master rank, but im down to intermediate now cause I can't seem to play but 1 real game in maybe 3 or 4

Duke Swift 4 & FANTAGELRON. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. These guys are pathetic. I actually thought it was me until it became so blatantly obvious. How sad do you have to be to cheat. These are the people that never could win the board game so now they go online & cheat!!! SMH

i wish we could block the cheaters from every playing with me again.... really takes the fun out of it

I've encountered this more often with expert players. They obviously have an alliance before the game starts as they take bordering continents with nothing more than 1 army in each of their common border territories. How can this be fun: wipe out everyone else early and then they still have to play each other?

Alejandra the fifth 2 and More fuel Armada 2 are both big cheaters. Fix this problem or two people teaming up pregame asap

The blue Eric Smith and the green Thebritt001 are another two cheaters. If you encounter cheaters, post their names on here so I will make sure to remove them from my game.

This "grandmaster" cannot get more obviously a cheater using two accounts. So annoying. Delete him please. "Benedict Poppins 2", and his second account "Eric Steamson 5". Too annoying and annoyed. Maybe the rankings of the game should start from the beginning and the players should be chosen to a game automatically in the classic map. Only those players should be taking ranking. Thanks

An individual block feature would help

Exactly FU, that's what I just said.  Give players an ignore/block feature so you can just block these cheaters.


It's absolutely ridiculous how much cheating there is in this game. 


Almost every game I've played with an expert or higher has had them using multiple accounts.  I just had a master use his lackey account to block me from Australia so he could take it.  When it's that obvious it's infuriating that you can't do anything about it.

Unfortunately, it is a known fact that there are players who use 2 accounts with the sole purpose of increasing the rank of one of them.  This is often very obvious when it happens and it is "cheating," no matter what anyone wants to call it.  After that, you enter a gray area, where it is hard to determine exactly where the line is.  I do think that "cheating" is thrown around a bit too often in these forums.  There are forms of game play, such as shooting for second place or leaving 1 troop on a border with an ally, that are totally legit, IMO.  Also, attacking a ally at some point is part of the game, so you need to be prepared for it.

There are things that are annoying, like purposely prolonging the end of the game and asking for an alliance just to clutter up the screen.  I would not consider this cheating, but poor sportsmanship or just someone being a jerk.

Actually getting an informative post outta SMG is akin to a miracle lol - are you a new member of staff... or have you been hiding all this time dude?!


Cheating should get kicked in the nuts - knocking them down to the bottom of the rank table, and giving them a ban, is really the only thing that will have any kind of impact on these mofos... but hopefully they are just temporary bans, otherwise you could see a marked decline in players lol


Hackers are inevitable - but usually they focus on cracking your software to get Premium features for free... the minority who use hacks to cheat can be identified quickly and easily if you code in safe-guards against highly unusual activity... like a player impossibly receiving 500 troops at the beginning of a round etc...


What have you got planned for 2018 (and why couldn't you have done it in 2017!)?


The biggest problem is one person using two accounts in a game - and is a pretty simple fix if you track IP and location...


Anyway, it's good to see that at least one person is doing some work at SMG lol!

Sam I disagree. You could play however you want with the guideline of 1 user. Once you start playing with 2 users, youre abusing the game. Risk let's you have alliances short-term/long-term within that framework of the game. It's a tactic on its own since you can't alliance with someone too long then they'll eventually defeat you, only one person comes out winner. But to have 2 accounts, especially when when it's a 3 or 4-way game, there's no skilll anymore, chances of one of those accounts to win is over 50%. And that's called cheating. The make alliance/ignore/make alliance trick when other people are attacking is within the games tactics. Not saying that it's 100% right, but it's another tactic "if you can do it fast enough so timer will go out".

The only way to deal with it and eliminate cheaters is to know how many times each player has played with each other during the game selection. It's an easy update and SMG should consider that seriously.

Heres 2 more for you. Okey Rock 5 and Billy Bravo 5. Was obvious that these 2 names are connected somehow. From the onset they avoided each other, put 1 army on adjacent territories and targeted my troops even when there was no reason for it. I will take a loss as ive taken many but these 2 names are what ruins games. If you have to cheat to attain grand master or master as these 2 names have done, its sad. Cheat to succeed is truly the lowest achievement you can get.
