Change in Player Level

Has anyone ever created a game and accepted players but once validated the ranking of the player changes from Novice to Expert with the robot icon - see the pictures.  Green player was eliminated but Blue player never attacked the Red player when prudent.  Whats up and how does this happen?

When a player does not confirm they are ready during the validating phase. They are replaced with an expert AI. That's all it is.

Then why the same name??? And why not same level? Doesn’t make sense.

AI levels are not equivalent to player class. AI levels are easy, medium, hard, expert. Player class is completely different e.g beginner, novice, intermediate, expert, master, grand master.

The comparison between these is very grey. Depending on who you speak to an easy computer is either much worse then a beginner/novice, or much better.

It is really apples to oranges to compare to 2.

The AI are laughably bad. They can’t detect elimination opportunities they could use to capture large set(s) in progressive or track the balance of power in fixed. Any human player has some abitly to do those things. That being said they aren’t likely to waste all their armies fighting for Australia (as a novice or beginner might) so they have that going for them. Philip I’m curious how do AI players (true AI not just humans who quit after play begins) affect the ranking changes of human players that occur as a result of a game? Do they affect them at all? If they do how does their elo compare to that of human players?

True AI players, as in AI you add in the lobby, Are not counted in any way to rank changes.
