You should be able to communicate with your current ally/allies

While in a alliance it would be beneficial to communicate with the ally. For instance in early game I had a single unit in a sector held by a ally. We were two moves in and I had no use in that area at the moment so I was going to let the ally easily take that area to complete the whole sector. But I had no way of telling them. Needless to say they were the first to be defeated early. Maybe I'm too nice but honestly it would have benefited both parties. Thoughts?
