People all the time tell me that they have gone and made an alliance and the people come back and destroy them. There should be a punishment if they attack the person the are allies with and comments so you can communicate with your allies better. If they need to take a continent then you should be able to tell them that they can attack your territory so they don't think you will get offended and break your alliance.
