What is considered a “Bad Name”?

To ensure that RISK remains family-friendly, inclusive, and suitable for players of all ages, the following types of names are not permitted:

  • Political Content – References to politicians, political figures, slogans, or movements
  • Religious Content – References to religious figures, language, or symbolism
  • Explicit or Sexual Content – Profanity, NSFW terms, or suggestive/innuendo-based names
  • Real World Conflicts – References to recent, ongoing, or historical wars and conflicts
  • Hate Speech – Language targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics
  • Impersonation – Claiming to be another individual or entity (e.g. public figures, SMG Studio employees)
  • Narcotics – References to drugs or controlled substances (legal or illegal)
  • Illegal Content – Any content that may be unlawful; in severe cases, this may be reported to relevant authorities
  • Abusive Content – Language that promotes or glorifies violence or harm toward others

What happens if a “Bad Name” is identified?

If your name is found to violate these guidelines:

  • You will no longer be able to use that name in RISK
  • You may lose access to all social naming features
  • You may receive a warning via the “Message from an Administrator system
  • In more serious or repeated cases, your account may be suspended or permanently banned

Can I appeal a restriction or block on my name?

Please note:

  • Appeals may be denied if the name contains extreme or clearly inappropriate content
  • Appeals may be denied if this is a repeat offence
  • Submission of an appeal does not guarantee a reversal of the decision
