Secret Assassin is a RISK game mode where each player is assigned a hidden target at the start of the game. Your mission is to eliminate your target before someone else eliminates theirs. It's a variant of Secret Missions, but focuses only on elimination missions.
How do I play Secret Assassin?
You can find Secret Assassin in the Modes and Modifiers screen when creating a game or you can find it in another player's public lobby.
- Once the match begins, you are assigned a secret target, this will be different to everyone else's.
- The first player to eliminate their target wins.
- If your target is eliminated by someone else, that player becomes your new target.
Tips for winning:
- Track your target - Select the Secret Assassin Icon (bottom left corner) to highlight your target's territories and see their remaining troop count.
- If another player is about to eliminate their target, you can steal the kill, forcing them to reset their mission. But be warned: you’ll become their new target.
- Don't always rush the kill - Attacking early can leave you vulnerable to the player hunting you.
- Use deception - If you only attack one player, others can guess your target. Mix up your attacks to keep them guessing.
- Adapt your strategy - Different games, maps and opponents require different tactics. One strategy that may work in one game might not work in another.
