Chat is very important, also to have chat on the main menu would be great too

We definitely need a chat program. If you have a chat program and also have a filter that you cannot use any foul language. It will be comfortable for everybody, even children under the age of 18 will be able to play this game safely. You can also put a filter that anybody over the age of 18 may not contact any children under the. You know how to do this with filters and keep everybody safe. If you are worried about the children. Part of it. Just get it done. It is not that difficult

 @Robert Gordon Well the reasoning is that people won't know about the feature and so people will send inappropriate content like racial slurs and porn etc in those chats. Which is a reasonable concern imo.

I would like the chat function to expose cheaters. I am tired of two people playing together to rig the outcome.
Been wanting basic char features to interact with opponenta and players.

I think chatting is not a good idea. Communication in other languages than English or chit-chats, or aggressive comments, or false information or whatever else would make the game not serious, so not a strategic game. 

My suggestion would be that instead of a chatting room, there would be some prefixed lines and options

You mean basically like clash Royale ? But for risk there would need to be so many different options that it would be absurd.

Messages should be private.
Free chat tendo to get rude / hijacked. Suggest having a set of phrases (maybe one set for allies, one set for others) to choose, e.g.: "Nice move" "OK to take my teritory," "Oops" etc. Picking a phrase would be quicker than typing and curb foul language.

I think your right, but I think a chat option, and especially when you play from a mobile phone would be a disaster

I have already requested this feature I will make the game more intetesting.

I feel like the main reason chat isnt implemented is because it will change the rating of the game because there is no swearing right now but even with filters people will still be able to put spaces or just be mean or bully. I would love to be able to chat with players so I really hope you can make it possible somehow
